Terms of Service

By accessing or using Steward ("the Service"), operated by Paul Mason ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Steward is a treasury management platform for volunteer-run organizations. The Service integrates with third-party providers including QuickBooks Online, DocuSign, and Lob to facilitate payment processing, approval workflows, and check mailing.

3. Accounts and Access

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Use the Service to process fraudulent transactions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

5. Third-Party Integrations

The Service connects to third-party services (QuickBooks Online, DocuSign, Lob, and others). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party services.

6. Financial Data

The Service facilitates financial workflows but does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all financial data, transactions, and records. We recommend consulting with qualified professionals for financial and tax matters.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Paul Mason and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may request an export of your data prior to termination.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
